Coin in My Pocket

This coin in my pocket won't help me tomorrow.
The fortunes I borrowed, I wasted away.
When I finish counting the coins in the fountain,
I'll pay for my wishes and be on my way.

When Lucifer spied me, he sat down beside me,
Said, "You know me better child for envy and pride.
For asking my questions, they took from me Heaven
And nobody ever considers my side."

Why all the reflecting? What were you expecting?
You were never the angel to fall on your knees.
Lucifer, go now. You'll make your way somehow.
I've got my own troubles to occupy me.

This coin in my pocket won't help me tomorrow.
The fortunes I borrowed, I wasted away.
When I finish counting the coins in the fountain,
I'll pay for my wishes and be on my way.
